Karnak the Magnificent Kicks Off 2010

It’s that time for the first game prediction of the season.

Does it matter that we have a bevy of good receivers? Does it matter that the quality of the offensive line looks like a crap shoot? Does it matter that the depth of this year’s squad is likely as shallow as we’ve seen in over 30 years? Does it matter that our defense as a whole looks pretty competitive?

Me thinks not. I don’t think the pluses and minuses should matter. After all, we are playing UT-Martin.

Any fear?

“If we can get to the fourth quarter and make it a possession game, anything can happen. We were able to do that against Auburn and were tied with them in the second half a couple of years ago.” – UT Martin head coach Jason Simpson (nwtntoday, Sep 1, 2010)

“Anything” isn’t going to happen…

Tennessee 41 UT-Martin 6
