At the end of the third quarter, the much-maligned Vol rushing game had 100 yards on the ground, and Vol freshman QB Justin Worley had more passing yards than the Razorbacks’ veteran gunslinger Tyler Wilson.

But the score at that point was Hogs 35 Vols 7.

What?

It was all about big plays.

Tennessee goes on the road to face my favorite school from the old Southwest Conference. HINT: The only school of that 10-school conference not located in Texas.

With a record of 8-1 (4-1 SEC) and ranked 8th nationally in the AP and coaches polls as well as the BCS standings, Arkansas are starting to get their game on. But they had to weather an extended storm to do so.

It’s Back to the Slaughterhouse

Saturday’s respite from SEC warfare was a welcome one — a nice break between conference juggernauts. The word ‘between’ is the problem. It connotes a temporary state, beckoning the inevitable.
